It is a nineteen kilometers from the city of Cusco. The magnificent landscape of the Cordillera de Vilcanota, the wilka wakay Chicón and a colorful traditional Sunday market, Inca structures and colonial buildings erected on them. The remains of the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui found here, was a center of culture. Local attractions include mayor Sunday market, where locals barter of products, the remains of the Inca Tupac Yupanqui Palace, the colonial church, built on a foundation of Ica, and the perfect hillside farming terraces. Today a spectacular splash of color and movement, that fascinates most tourists, offering all works nice crafts and textiles that reflect the style of the area. Two beautiful lakes are visible from the esplanade Chinchero: Piuray and Huaypo.
