The archaeological complex of Tarawasi is located in Limatambo district, a few kilometers from Cusco. It was one of the many complexes sent to do by the Inca Pachacutec, during his reign. It is built on a Ushnu, a kind of pyramid-shaped ceremonial altar. It also says it would have been built as a resting place or a religious ceremonial center.
Between the main buildings of the complex can be found:
The farm, agricultural terraces, the Temple of Tarawasi( agricultural terraces with presence of irrigation channels are observed), and the Temple, which is the main attraction of the complex, the presence of two overlapping terraces observed .
You can also observe the construction of windows or niches they reach the size of a man, and the presence of a special engraving found in one of them and that seems to reveal a floral motif. It is also evident in Tarawasi building a hacienda , would belong to the eighteenth century , ie the Colonial era, and is built on the basis of a palace of Inca origin .
