Cusco was chosen as one of best places in latinomerica for family trips

Cusco was chosen by "US News" as the best destination for vacation, more accessible and the third best for family holidays in Latin America.

According to Edy Cuellar Margholl tourism director of "Chamber of Commerce of Cusco", "US News" is an American news website that reaches more than 214 million followers worldwide, makes an annual ranking it calls "Rankings & Advice "in which chooses the best around, section our Cusco Travel elected as the best destination in Latin America.

"This election is the result of combining expert opinions, votes of its members and evaluating their demanding tourist infrastructure such as transport, hotels, entertainment, culture, restaurants, professionals and others, which determine the best places to travel in a variety of categories "Cuellar said.

Cusco was chosen as the best vacation destination in Latin America over "Rio de Janeiro" which finished second and "Buenos Aires" which was third in the standings.

In addition Cusco was also chosen in the ranking as the most accessible destination in Latin America, because it has a wide range of prices in tourist services offered, in this ranking Machu Picchu appears as the second most accessible destination.

Finally Cusco is the third best destination for a family holiday, where Costa Rica was chosen first, the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu second fourth best in Latin America.
